From Law to Spiritual Entrepreneurship: Trusting Your Intuition in a Major Career Pivot with Kirsten Stockton
In 2020, like many of us, Kirsten Stockton's life came to a halt. As a trial attorney, she had spent a decade immersed in litigation, courtroom strategy, and long hours. But when the world paused, so did her sense of direction—and for the first time in years, she turned inward.
That pause? It changed everything.
"I had nowhere to go but within," she shares. "And in that space of stillness, I finally began to ask, who am I really—and who am I not?"
The Shift from Law to Intuitive Healing
Though raised in a family of lawyers and deeply entrenched in the legal profession, Kirsten always felt the tug of something more aligned. A highly sensitive, empathic child, she had long buried her emotional sensitivity in favor of logic, structure, and success.
"I spent years shutting off my intuitive gifts because I was told they were too much," she says.
It wasn’t until motherhood and the space 2020 offered that she began reconnecting to her truth. She started to explore intuitive healing tools like Reiki, the Akashic Records, and meditation—not as a business path, but as a personal healing journey.
The Moment She Came Out of the Spiritual Closet
"The first time I told someone I could read souls was over dinner with a girlfriend," Kirsten recalls. "I just said it out loud—I can read energy. And once I did, there was no going back."
From there, she began sharing more openly. She stepped away from practicing law and into spiritual guidance work, supporting women through intuitive readings, healing circles, and one-on-one mentorship.
The Three Pillars of Reclaiming Intuition
Kirsten now supports clients in their own return to self through what she calls the three pillars of intuitive healing:
Self-Reflection: Going within to confront the shadows and release inherited expectations. This often includes inner child work and healing from societal programming.
Self-Awareness: Learning who you are through tools like Human Design and understanding how you uniquely process information and energy.
Self-Trust: Cultivating courage to act from your intuition, even when the path isn't clear. "Like any relationship, trust takes time. But it grows when we follow through."
What Are the Akashic Records?
Curious about this mystical modality? Kirsten describes the Akashic Records as a "fifth-dimensional library" that holds your soul's journey—past, present, and potential future.
"With permission, I access your personal room in this library to receive intuitive insights about your purpose, patterns, and past lives," she explains.
Her readings help clients:
Gain clarity on soul lessons
Release energetic blocks
Align their decisions with their deeper purpose
Staying Energetically Grounded: Spiritual Hygiene 101
As a highly sensitive intuitive, Kirsten emphasizes the importance of energetic self-care—for everyone.
"Energetic hygiene is just as important as brushing your teeth," she says.
Her daily practice includes:
Morning meditation and intentional protection
Visualization of a white light bubble and energy cord cutting
End-of-day rituals to clear residual energy (like dry brushing, cleansing showers, or salt circles)
And for anyone with heightened clair senses (clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience, etc.), she encourages identifying your primary sense and building boundaries around it.
"For example, if sound overwhelms you, use noise-canceling headphones in busy spaces. Protect your sensitivity."
Tools for Reconnection
Kirsten’s go-to recommendation for intuitive healing?
"Meditation. It’s the friend that always welcomes you home."
Whether you’re a beginner or returning to the practice, she believes meditation helps us see ourselves clearly in the chaos and build trust in our inner guidance.
Other tools she uses and recommends include:
Self-paced healing courses
Breathwork and quantum visualization
Reiki and Human Design sessions
Embracing Wild Grace
Asked what it means to live in "wild grace," Kirsten answers:
"Be compassionate with yourself. That grace will lead you back to your intuition every time."
She’s also a graduate of the Smart Girls Mastermind, where she says the supportive, non-competitive environment gave her space to blossom: "When we invest in ourselves and each other, we all succeed."
